Balance Issues

Do you ever wonder why you suddenly begin to trip so much? Why is your head spinning for no reason? Why do you now need to hold the railing when descending a flight of stairs? Balance issues are a common and challenging aspect of living with Multiple Sclerosis.

When I'm tired, I feel even more unstable and dizzy. You may need to use various tools to navigate each day and yes, it's frustrating! If you do notice changes in your balance, talk to your doctor first. There are other causes so you shouldn't jump to conclusions. If you have balance issues, you may need to adjust the way you navigate through life. I need to be cautious when doing certain things.

I can't walk close to the edge of things anymore. No more edges of steep cliffs for me! I feel like I've had too much to drink even though my drinking days have been over for 30 years. I feel better if there is support such as a railing. I use a shopping cart even when I don't have a large list of things to purchase at the grocery store. Carts are my friend now!
